This morning I stepped outside to hear the sound of my neighbors wind chime. The breeze gently blowing and the smell of fresh rain permeated the air. It reminded me of how all things must come to an end. That with everything “change” is always on the horizon no matter how steep the mountain or how endless the sea appears. Sometimes, we have to listen to the things that blow in the wind, sometimes we have to take the time to notice the simple things that can bring us joy.
Today, we are hurried. Life has become some sort of race that in the end nobody wins if we pass the things that truly matter without observation. As I sit and write this article I can recall many of times where I was running to fast. How I created my own race. Although I may have hurried to be the first to break the “ribbon”, I cannot count on both hands all the things that I missed along the way. Today, I want to come in last. Last will make me a true winner. Coming in last will allow me to see and hear the things I am suppose to hear and see along the way. It will give me the time I need and deserve to observe all the things that matter, to gain valuable life experiences and life lessons. Knowledge is power. How much knowledge have you lost running to fast ?
Everything starts with our own self……..
